KUNST TUT GUT - eine einzigartige Einladung, auf Spurensuche zu gehen
Am 5. Juli 2024 fand im Alten Schlachthof Karlsruhe die feierliche Eröffnung der Ausstellung „Kunst Grenzenlos“ statt. Über 160 Gäste nahmen an der Veranstaltung teil, die von Musik, Grußworten, Workshops und Begegnungen geprägt war. Schirmherrin Sylvia M. Felder, Regierungspräsidentin des Regierungspräsidiums Karlsruhe, eröffnete die Ausstellung persönlich und unterstrich in ihrer Rede die Bedeutung der gezeigten Kunstwerke.
„Diese Ausstellung muss sein. Wenn es sie nicht gäbe, würde etwas sehr Wertvolles und Wichtiges fehlen“, betonte Felder. „Ohne die Künstlerinnen und Künstler, ohne ihre Bereitschaft, sich auf dieses Kunstprojekt einzulassen, gäbe es diese Ausstellung nicht. Ohne diese Ausstellung würden wir nie erfahren, was die Menschen bewegt, die diese Werke geschaffen haben. Ohne die Möglichkeit, diesen Werken zu begegnen, würden wir nie in den Dialog treten können, um durch diese Werke mehr über die Menschen zu erfahren, die sie geschaffen haben. Wenn es stimmt, dass die Kunst die Ausdrucksform ist, die das Wesentliche, das Innere, die Gefühle und Empfindungen zum Ausdruck bringen kann, dann ist dies eine einzigartige Einladung, sich auf Spurensuche zu begeben“. Die Ausstellung in Karlsruhe zeigte erneut Werke und Projekte von Menschen mit Fluchterfahrung sowie weitere künstlerische Beiträge. Ein Höhepunkt der Ausstellung war die Kunstinstallation „Schritte der Hoffnung“, die einen tiefen Einblick in die Beweggründe, Schicksale und Erfahrungswelten von Menschen auf der Flucht gab.

On 5 July 2024, the grand opening of the "Kunst Grenzenlos" exhibition took place at the Alter Schlachthof Karlsruhe. Over 160 guests took part in the event, which was characterised by music, greetings, workshops and encounters.
Patron Sylvia M. Felder, President of the Karlsruhe Regional Council, opened the exhibition in person and emphasised the importance of the artworks on display in her speech. "This exhibition is a must. If it didn't exist, something very valuable and important would be missing," emphasised Felder. "Without the artists, without their willingness to get involved in this art project, this exhibition would not exist. Without this exhibition, we would never find out what moves the people who created these works. Without the opportunity to encounter these works, we would never be able to enter into a dialogue to learn more about the people who created them. If it is true that art is the form of expression that can express the essential, the inner, the feelings and sensations, then this is a unique invitation to embark on a search for traces". The exhibition in Karlsruhe once again showed works and projects by people who have experienced flight, as well as other artistic contributions. A highlight of the exhibition was the art installation "Steps of Hope", which gave a deep insight into the motives, fates and experiences of people on the run.
